Quality Craftsmanship is the Foundation of our Family Business.

A. Flottemesch + Son started with Anton (Anthony) Flottemesch in Oldenburg, Germany in 1928, when he completed his master piece to earn his title as Master Craftsman. He set out for America, and furthered his skills as a cabinet maker in Cincinnati. In 1946 started his own business in the garage of his home on Montgomery Road in Kenwood. The business flourished as a result of his hard work and attention to his customers’ vision.

Since the beginning, A. Flottemesch + Son has continued the heritage of old world craftsmanship. Anthony taught his craft to his son, Bob, and later his grandson, Jim. His son, Bob, was superb cabinet maker and millworker, and continued to be a guiding influence to the business until his passing in 2000.

The business has grown the traditional way – through family. Today, A. Flottemesch + Son is still a father and son operation, with Jim Flottemesch, Sr. and Jim Flottemesch Jr. – bringing the 3rd and 4th generation to the business. Their philosophy? They’re proud of their history, but only as a benchmark for improvement and growth. They find great satisfaction in the repeat customers and referrals that keep their business growing.
